1972 FJ40, retubbed with 12 GA steel, rear fender wells raised nearly to
upper bed line, lost jump seats to one rear bench, reupholstered front
seats, Sony head unit, Majestic amp, Kicker 12” sub in custom sealed
box, Infinity Kappa Perfect 6X9’s in mounted sealed boxes, hard top
destroyed in rollover now has Bestop soft top, Schedule 80 roll bar
mounted to the frame at rear, trimmed front fenders tube lined with body
work formed into the tubing, custom front bumber with warn 8274 winch,
stock springs still sprung under, rear springs turned around for longer
wheel base, custom rear drive shaft to accommodate, custom silver
metallic paint job, aluminum 15X8 wheels with BFG 35X12.50X15 A/T’s,
purchased with an old Chevy 350 engine, oil pump failed old engine
ceased, working on installation of power steering and Chevy LT1 engine,
hope to have this cruiser running for my wife to drive this summer.

1991 FJ80, 282K miles, K&N filter, ceramic coated headers, MagnaFlow
muffler, re-man’d Denso injectors, 4.88 Yukon gears, Newfield Axles, 3”
spacer lift, stock coils, castor correction kit, relocated rear shocks
for more articulation, open diffs, custom roof rack 1.25” tubing,
Hi-lift mount on rack, custom rear bumper, cut 8” off of rear frame
rails for increased departure angle, stock wheels 15X7 powder coated
gloss black with BF Goodrich 35X12.50X15 A/T KO’s, 35”BFG MT spare on
rack on 5th black stock wheel, Kenwood Excelon head unit, Polk audio
front door speakers, 1000W Lansar amp, 10” Infinity kappa perfect sub in
sealed box, all other stock speakers hooked up and working.
Future mods: rear locker, sliders, front bumper, winch, trim fenders for
37” or 39” tires, if and when the stock Toyota engine and tranny ever
give up, an LT1 and comprable tranny will go in. We love this rig. |

I've had my '78 since '93. This last year it got S-10 TBI, mini-truck
power steering, Taco rims and I'm currently installing Vintage Air's
A/C.

Vehicle profile for Brak and Denise Carman: 1982 FJ60, 292K miles,
stock, 36”tall skinny military Nankang tires, purchased straight but
rusty, hardly a straight panel left, several missing windows, has been
tipped over on both sides multiple times, being that there is no lift on
it the 36” tires have basically made room for themselves in the rusty
fender wells. This rig is nearly unbreakable. |

locker ,arb bumper 9500 Ramsey winch, kaymar rear , slee skid plate, 3
inch OME F/R comp. coil spring series, Australian F/R adjustable
panhard, arb roof rack,hella 4000 HID lights ,35 inch MTR, my other
truck has a arb bumper 10000 lbs T-max winch 4x4labs rear bumper,arb
slider with steps, and 31 inch MTR, OME , shocks 3 inch lift,..
