I got a call one early morning last June from my neighbor, an ardent
Chevy fan, who thinks I should trade my '94 FJZ80 for a new chevy. He
wouldn't let me get a pic with "one of them toy-ota's attached to his
truck." My 4 year old son and two year old daughter thought it was
really cool when they saw "mr. matt's truck got pulled out of water with
daddy's Cruiser!" I know my 94 FJZ80 isn't in the shot, but it's a cool
shot and I thought it'd be cool to send in anyhow.

FJ40 Land Cruiser from North Pole Alaska
My name is Hunter McConnel and this is my 1969 FJ40. It sits on a
spring over with home built perches and FJ55 Rear leaves. Driveshafts
are homemade with the front one having a CV joint. Axles are out of a
79' FJ55 and they have 4.88's; rear has a GM 12-bolt mini-spool. Power
plant is the original 1F with an Optima Battery, Electric Fuel Pump,
Holley Carburetor, accel coil and a downey header. Tranny is a SM420
out of a late 50's pick-up and the t-case is the "3 speed" stocker with
the 2.31:1 low range. Tires are 39.5" Boggers and occasionally 44"
Boggers. A few extras include a Warn 8274 with AmSteel Blue winch cable,
home built cross over steering with double arm, and the interior has
been untouched... minus the floor shifter out of a 4 speed cruiser
tranny.

off road with her however, very soon i`ll be taking this trip to Guarico
to see how she does.
Saludos.
