This is our KZJ 73, built in 1995 and as
you can see after 175.000 km just young enough to start at
trial-competitions. Besides trial our cruiser has to work in the Black
Forest and of course he is an allday family car. You know, it´s a
cruiser thing J

G'day From Australia,
These are two photos of my Cruisers. My HJ47 troopie is at my house in
New Mexico, where I am from. My FJ40 LX is in Australia, where I live
now. My Troopie has a 2000 Chevy Vortec 5.7 litre 350 powering the air
conditioning and power steering. It runs through a factory Toyota 5
speed and a 1987 split case (with the reduced low gear and 32mm idler
shaft). She sits on OME 2.5" springs, 33X10.50x15 BFG ATs and has a Warn
8274 winch. The interior is a camper, with fridge, sink, stove and
storage. She hold 10 gallons of water and 44 gallons of petrol on board.
My FJ40 has factory air con, power steering and a 5 speed. I installed
the winch and an OME 80mm lift. She is an LX, which means she has 3
wipers and a 'luxury' interior. I look forward to bringing her back to
New Mexico one day, but for now I am enjoying exploring the outback in
her here in Australia.
Cheers,
Josh Boltrek - Australia

Here are a few snaps of the two rigs I
drove last weekend. the white one is a 1982 HJ47 with a 2001 HJ75 turbo
diesel, 5 speed, front and rear axle in it. It was, quite simply, the
nicest Cruisewr I have ever driven in my life... Hope everyone is well!

We are all from Sydney Australia. We are 3
long term mates that all have an affection for Landcruiser's, the Bj42
in particular. We all have the same model, years differ 81, 82 & 83.
They're all 'tweaked' in slightly different ways, but the longer we own
them, the more similar they become. E.g, the one in the pics without the
snorkel has just gained a snorkel. We do most of the work ourselves,
helping each other out & we have a mutual mechanic friend that keeps
them in shape. We love hitting the trails as often as possible
(usually 2-3 weekends a month) not just for the 4wdriving, but for other
reasons as well ~ camping, the bush, photography etc.
