Pictures of the Filipino Frankenstein. It
began its life as a mid 60's 45 long bed, but its been grafted onto a 40
frame, with a shortened bed, and has body parts from at least 5
different trucks, none the same year. Since its already been so heavily
modified, my builder here is updating everything to 83 standard parts,
disc front, 13bt motor, H55f tranny if we can find one, split case, PTO
winch, around 4 in of lift and 35's. Still deciding on paint but I'm
thinking LR Bonatti Gray with the trim pieces powder coated black.

Just finished exterior restorations on my
'88 FJ62. Glassy clear coat over grey metallic matching the
original paint. Blacked out everything I could, windows, emblems,
grille, wheels, bumpers, headlight frames... for that semi stealth look.
31" BFG's bring a rugged balance to this city slick paint job.
He's a mean beast and he's handsome too.

I am from Karachi, a city in Pakistan. Here we have almost all models of
Toyota's be it cars or 4wd's. My FJ was originally a '88 FJ60 bought by
my dad in 1992 from the Australian Embassy. He gave it to me in 1997
since then ive been trying to remodel it. Oh, the height clearance
lights on the roof are from a scraped GMC pickup truck
which i had bought for restoration but it needed a lot of work so i sold
it but kept the lights. I know its not original but it gives a fine look
esp at night. When my dad bought the FJ60 it was in a two tone color
sadly i dont have any pictures of it, silver & dark grey metallic it
was. The person he bought it from had sadly changed the petrol engine to
a 3950cc Toyota diesel, guess the petrol prices were high at that time,
here. The previous engine needed repair got it completely rebuilt & it
ran for about 7yrs. I had imported a 12H-T Toyota from japan via dubai,
uae for a
client. Who upon the engine's arrival had changed his mind & i had no
choice but to have it installed in my cruiser since the older one was
sort of giving me trouble again. Ofcourse, the cruiser needed a
remodeling from the '62 i had converted it to. Had it painted metallic
black then. Lately repainted it to Chocolate brown, matte. Now i plan of
changing the paint again. I own two car repair shops/workshops/garages
hence, it is no problem to remodel the cruiser or my 1973 M38A1, 1971
Ford Mustang Grand Coupe or the '88 Fiat Iveco i have. Anyhow thats
besides the point. I also rebuild jeeps. Have been planning of
rebuilding a FJ40 for myself. Thinking of making a mudder.
Love ur site its amazing!! Keep up the good work.
